Continental Knitting

Date: Saturday July 2nd 2011
Time: 2:00 – 4:00 pm
Skill Level: No experience to Beginner (familiar with knitting and purling)
Instructor: Kira Dulaney
Class Size: 8 (min. 2)

Materials: 50 yards smooth worsted or aran weight yarn, straight or circular knitting needles in the size recommended for your yarn.

Knitting continental-style is faster than American-style, especially with knit/purl or lace stitch patterns. Switching to continental style knitting takes some patience, but in this class Kira will give you lots of tips to help you make the transition smoothly.

NOTE FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS: This class is for American-style knitters of any level, but those of you who crochet or are left-handed may find it easier to learn to knit continental-style right off the bat. This is a shorter class than the regular Beginning class, so you won’t get quite as much support, but you can always set up a private lesson to follow up later on.

Cost$ 28.00 per person (materials not included)
